Abstract
This collection of case studies focuses on the conflict of interest that may arise in the course of one's employment.
The first case involves an endowment to a university foundation and the subsequent financial transfers that resulted in a significantly diminished benefit to the foundation.
The third case relates to conflict arising within a research and development environment that is under pressure from the industry it serves. Trips and other "gifts" are included in other case topics in this series, as well.
