Abstract

This case is an example of students getting their first entrepreneurial experience by starting a campus business. It illustrates that there are multiple stakeholders—students, faculty, parents, administrators—in this process. This is a simple business—a campus travel agency—which most students understand. Hence, it is possible to concentrate on the entrepreneurial process without spending extensive time on industry analysis.

The teaching manual contains a brief 'B' case that is to be handed out in class. There is another case in this series, "Take A Break Travel", dealing with the growth of the business, which in 1994 had annual revenue of $8 million.
